Reporting Local Conditions

How local reports are used: Observations of on-the-ground crop, water and pasture conditions help the team interpret and validate the Combined Drought Index. Please note that a report is not an application for drought assistance, and there is no guarantee that the map will change because of any single report. The map is based on many kinds of hydro-meteorological data; local reports add valuable context about how conditions are affecting people on the ground.
